英語の質問に答えてみたー季節外れのクリスマス編

How old were you when you learned Santa 

wasn't real? How did you find out?

何歳のときでしたか？またどのように

してそれを知りましたか？)

I was 8 years old when I learned Santa

wasn't real.  I believe it was just before 

Christmas. One of my good friends at 

that time said, "huh, do you really think 

Santa's real?  Well, no" with a cold laugh.

I don't know why she decided to tell

me that and why she needed to do

that.  I really believed that Santa 

existed until then, and finding out 

what Santa gave me in the morning 

on Dec 25th was one of the most 

exciting things to me. I still remember 

really clearly that I waited inside my 

futon for a while after I woke up thinking 

when I should open my eyes to check 

the present which should be placed

near my pillow. Well, she instantly

took all that precious time away 

from me.  I was almost crying when I 

asked my mother if what my friend 

said was true.  My mother looked 

really sorry when she had to say 

yes to my question.

(端的に書くと、小学３年生のクリスマス

ちょっと前くらいの時期に当時仲の良かっ

た友だちが、こちらから質問してもいない

のに「まだサンタがおるなんて信じてるん？

そんなんおるわけないやん(苦笑)」と

学校で言われ、サンタの存在が嘘だと

当時の私には衝撃の事実が判明。当時いると

信じて疑ってなかった自分は、帰宅後

泣きそうになりながら母親にサンタは

本当にいないのかと問うたのでした。

母親はすごく申し訳なさそうに

「ほんとうはおらんのさ」と一言。当時

の自分にはとっても悲しい出来事でした。)

遅かれ早かれいずれサンタさんがいない

ことを自分でわかる日が来てたやろう

けど、この時にこの友だちから言われて

なかったらいつまで信じてたかな。

人が信じていることをバカにしたり

その人の夢をわざと壊しにいくよう

なことはしないようにしたい(泣)。

今日はInteresting question to askって

検索をかけてヒットしたサイトから

質問を選んだけど、このサイトの

質問も面白そうなのがいっぱい

でした。また他のも英語で答えて
